I frequently get asked this questions by adults and friends at school. I don’t really have one definite answer for this question other than “I think I have pretty good style and I like to be different.” I’ve followed fashion bloggers long before my days of becoming one myself and the thought of being a fashion blogger was always intriguing. I’ve always considered myself to have above average style and better style than most of my peers so I started thinking “why don’t I start a blog and post my outfits and products just like the fashion bloggers that I follow do?” Well little did I know, that’s not all there is to it. Fashion blogging is no doubt HARD work. Blogging is planning out weekly outfits and never wearing the same thing twice. Blogging is having to have a nice camera and a personal photographer to take dozens of photos per outfit for you. It is sitting at the kitchen table editing photos and combing through them to find the ones that are blog worthy. Blogging is emailing brands and other bloggers about collaborations. It is constantly trying to increase your fans and social media base and interacting with your followers. Blogging is going 35 minutes out of your way to a Krispy Kreme just for one doughnut that’ll make a pretty photo. Those are only a few of the things bloggers deal with and have to think about on a daily basis. I wanted to start blogging because I saw how successful other bloggers were and I was confident that I had the potential (and the closet) to be just as successful. Fashion is something I love and something that is a great part of my life. I think that fashion represents who a person is. In a way, it is a form of art. Not everyone can crack up to be the next Picasso, and fashion is the same way. Not everyone has the talent, dedication, and drive that the fashion world requires. Fashion is a way of expressing your emotions and intentions. I use not only my wardrobe, but my blog to express and share those emotions and intentions that I have with you all. I started a blog because I wanted to go above and beyond my friends and classmates. Instead of just wearing my clothes to school for people to see, I wanted to create a way that I can showcase them to the world. Some days I have no energy to put together a nice outfit and would rather just wear a tee shirt out, but having a fashion blog and being seen in the eyes of others as a "fashion blogger" has turned out to be great motivation for always looking my best. Blogging gives me a feeling of purpose and empowerment. I love knowing that thousands of people are checking my blog every week for my next post. It is an awesome feeling knowing that large name brand companies whose clothes I have been wearing for years want ME to be a representative for their company and their products. When I first started blogging, my blog started out very slow. I have come so far in the last eight months and while some days I have no motivation to write my next post, I love blogging and I love sharing my life with you. I have to give credit to you all who are reading this right now. Thank you for you following me and my blog and providing me with nothing but compliments and motivation to do more! My blog still has so far to come and I hope all of you will continue supporting me however far I go.
