FALL IS HERE!! So I'm not sure if you've heard or not yet, but camo is BIG this fall and winter!! And yes I said camo! I've seen so many camo jackets, socks, ballet flats, and Michael Kors has even come out with a camo purse for this fall! I've been anxiously waiting since summer to finally be able to wear my new J.Crew vest! When I bought it they had it on a mannequin on the store paired with the shirt I have on. I would have never even thought about mixing stripes with camo but I love the way it looks. Stay tuned for more fall looks!

I know this is REALLY late (I've been busy) but two weeks ago at school we had our first spirit week of the year. We played our biggest rival Mid Carolina Highschool that week so of course the spirit level was high. Chapin and Mid Carolina have a tradition that whoever wins the game gets "The Bell" which they get to place on display in their school. Half of the bell is painted for Chapin and the other half is pained in MC colors and Chapin has had possession of the bell for the past year. The seniors always go all out for Spirit Week so I thought I would share my day by day outfits of the day with y'all. Monday- America Day. Last year (for the Mid Carolina football game, how ironic) I painted a pair of $5 Vans- looking shoes from Walmart. They were super quick and easy to paint and are great for America themed games and days. I wore a solid white tank, with a blue cardigan, red white and blue headband(not pictured), and of course the DIY shoes.(Please excuse my messy room) Tuesday- Team Day. Clemson, duh...I kept it very simple with a white tank, orange cardigan, and nude Old Navy flats. To spice things up a little I threw in a gold chained J.Crew necklace, gold tortoise MK watch, and a gold Alex & Ani bracelet. And I can't forget the purple nails. Wednesday- Wilderness/ Camo Day. I had no trouble putting together an outfit for today because my family owns a surplus of Camo/ hunting apparel. I wore a long-sleeve camo t-shirt (approved by Shelby) , army green skinny jeans, and brown braided Steve Madden sandals along with the same J.Crew necklace I wore on Tuesday. Thursday- Tacky Tourest Day. My favorite day of all because everyone dresses up like a complete idiot and nobody says anything about it. Nobody in my family owns a Hawaiian or any other kind of tacky shirt like that but my Nana's husband does! He had multiple I could choose from and I ended up picking a green-ish one with boats on it. I wore dark skinny jeans, the boat shirt, my blue Chacos, and a fanny pack I wear when I run races. I threw in a few pictures of my friends just for laughs :) Lastly, Toga/ Chapin Blue Friday. Every year for the first pep talley the seniors design and make togas and wear them on the day of the game. The rest of the school wears Chapin blue. I decided to stay simple and just wear a plain white toga. I used a queen sized sheet bought from Walmart, tons of safety pins, and a skinny pink belt to hold it all together. I wore my dark brown "gladiator" sandals from Target just to look a little more Roman. By the looks of these tweets and photos from the beach themed game, it's needless to say that spirit week was a huge success and Chapin High school has the best student section in the state! We beat MC and keep the bell! |
