With the beginning of my senior year only five days away, I want to reflect on how I feel about it and make some goals for the year that I can come back and look at after graduation. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was just a little girl in elementary school with not a worry in the world.
Time really has flown like they said it would! Part of me is very excited to get back to school and get senior year over with so I can move on to the next chapter of my life, but the other part really wants time to slow down and for this school year to take its time. Everyone always says that you need to cherish every moment of your high school years because looking back those are the years you are going to remember the most. It scares me that when I'm older and I look back I will feel as if I could have accomplished and done so much more. Because of that I am going to make sort of a senior year bucket list/ list of goals to ensure that I am satisfied when I look back years from now.
1. This year I am going to try to keep all A's and B's on report cards all year. No more C's, no exceptions.
2. Get close to old friends before we all go our separate ways in a year. One of the friends I really want to reconnect with is Helen Cantey.

3. Be more adventurous. I love doing outdoorsy things like hiking and camping and road trips but I can never find the time to do them. This year I want to make time to do these things that I love to do with my friends and family.
4. Strengthen my relationship with God. This should always be a top priority in my life but this year I want to take extra steps to really grow closer to Him. I want to do at least one missions trip this year and become even more involved with the church.
5. Not waste my time. I tend to spend a lot of time just hanging around the house not doing much of anything. I don't want to waste any of time I have left with my friends this year so I'm going to try to keep a pretty full schedule.
6. Do something I've always been scared to do. I'm terrified of roller coasters so the swings are about the extent of my amusement park fun. This year I want to take a trip to Carrowinds or another amusement park and ride a big roller coaster. Its going to take some talking to myself and encouragement but I'm going to try to get out of my comfort zone and do it.
7. Be organized!!! This is huge considering how messy of a person I am. I want to keep all of my school work, room, and car organized and clean this year.
8. Spend more time with my family. I always forget how extremely blessed I am with a great family and they deserve more attention for that. I really want to make an effort to spend more time with my grandparents. I also want to be a better big sister to Shelby this year.
9. No T-Shirts to school unless it is an "approved" or "pinterest outfit". Shelby and I made a little bet that we are going to see who can go the longest without wearing a t-shirt to school and the first one to cave has to do the winners laundry for three months. If both of us go all year, Mom agreed to do both of our laundry for three months so I'm really gonna try my hardest to stick to this one!
10. Most importantly I want to have fun and really enjoy my last year of high school. I want to be at all the football, basketball, and baseball games I can make it to and be very involved with the school. I want to make this the best year out of all four at Chapin High School.
No matter what happens this year I want to remember that God always has a plan and His plan is the best plan. I have my own goals and plans for this year but if He has something different planned for me, I need to remember that He has my best interest in mind and everything will work out!
